Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly set to battle Premier Soccer League rivals, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, for a Lamontville Golden Arrows youngster this summer.

The Glamour Boys are now focused on bringing in new players to improve their squad after they confirmed Nasreddine Nabi's appointment as their new coach on Sunday, July 7.

Several players have been linked with the Soweto giants, but the club has yet to confirm their first signing this summer.

According to a report by Soccer Laduma, per the South African, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in signing Simphiwe Sithole from Golden Arrows.

The youngster trained with the Arrows' first-team squad most of last season but failed to feature in any of their games in the DStv Premiership or cup competitions.

Amakhosi spotted the youngster's football talent during the DStv Diski Challenge games, with the club scouts said to have made outstanding reports about him.

Kaizer Chiefs might face a huge task in signing Sithole, as their city rivals Orlando Pirates and PSL champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, are also interested in the South African youngster.

Amakhosi are said to be serious about signing the midfielder from Golden Arrows this summer and are reportedly set to open contract talks with the player's agent.
