Dele-Bashiru passed his medical in Rome on Friday, July 5, and his paperwork was completed, kick-starting his Serie A career.

The midfielder who graduated from Manchester City Academy is excited to complete the deal, saying it will make a significant impact on his career.

A club statement said:

"SS Lazio announces that it has acquired on a temporary basis with an obligation to buy the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Oluwafisayo Faruq Dele-Bashiru from Atakaş Hatayspor FK."

Meanwhile, head coach, Igor Tudor, has hopes the Super Eagles star fits perfectly into his vision of a dynamic and creative midfield unit.

Dele-Bashiru is a utility player who is capable of playing both in the attack and in the central area.

His arrival will bolster the squad as they aim for a strong performance in the domestic and continental competitions next season.

He becomes the fifth Nigerian player to feature for le Aquile after the likes of Ogenyi Onazi, Stephen Makinwa, Seyi Adeleke, and Daniel Ola.
