The recently held 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draws organised by the continent's footballing body, CAF, have continued to generate varied reactions from stakeholders of participating teams.
While a few appear relatively pleased with their seedings and the respective teams in their groups, others appear far from impressed with their team's fate following the AFCON draws. One individual who is particularly displeased with the recent draws is Rwanda coach, Torsten Spittler.
The German tactician has labelled the draw as 'a little bit sad' after his side was placed in the same group as Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.

In an interview as reported by the Rwandan FA, the 62-year-old, who is eager to guide Rwanda back to the AFCON but acknowledges the challenge posed by being grouped with Nigeria and the Republic of Benin, commented on the seemingly tough draw his side has been handed:

Reflecting on the tough draw his team has received, he commented,
"It is sad to be in the same group with Nigeria and Benin, whom we also face in the World Cup qualifiers. But that's how it goes."
Despite this, the German tactician can find encouragement in his team's strong performance in the FIFA World Cup qualification group.
