Following the disappointing FIFA World Cup qualification results against South Africa and Benin Republic, the NFF has begun its search for a new manager after parting ways with Finidi George.
The NFF has expressed its intention to hire a foreign manager for the Super Eagles.
However, amidst this search, reports have emerged indicating that Salisu Yusuf is set to be appointed as a member of the coaching staff for the Nigerian team.

NFF to appoint Salisu Yusuf for Super Eagles?
According to a report from media outlet OwnGoalNigeria, the NFF is keen to include the 62-year-old in the coaching setup of the next Super Eagles coach.
The veteran manager previously worked with former Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, during his five-year stint with the Super Eagles.
Coach Salisu, who has been largely part of the Nigerian footballing setup over the last decade, recently returned from a lengthy FIFA suspension after he was caught on camera receiving a bribe from an undercover football agent, per reports from Goal.
Coach Salisu was also in charge of the home-based Super Eagles team during the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
