According to a report by OwnGoalNigeria, the 68-year-old has recently thrown his hat into the ring to manage the Nigerian team.
The veteran Spanish coach boasts a coaching career spanning over four decades. Coach Caparros has been in charge of several teams across Europe, including Sevilla, Levante, Osasuna, and most recently, the Armenian national team.
During his two-year stint with Armenia, the 68-year-old set the record for the longest unbeaten run in the country’s history.
Coach Caparros joins the list of foreign coaches, including Italian manager, Roberto Landi, and Swiss coach, Raoul Savoy, who have shown interest in managing Nigeria.
According to a recent report from the media outlet Score Nigeria, Caparros was one of the several managers considered by the NFF before the appointment of Finidi in April.
