The Euro 2024 has reached the quarter-final stage, with the 17th edition of the tournament only seven games away from completion across Germany's host stadiums.

With the next stage of the knockouts set, many players - including some stars under the age of 23 - are already proving why they are among the best in the world.

Sports Brief looks at the top five most outstanding youngsters at the tournament so far as the quarter-final round approaches.

Euro 2024's top 5 outstanding youngsters

1. Jamal Musiala

The Bayern Munich star has been one of Germany's shining lights at the tournament, scoring in three of their four games so far. According to Goal, he is tied at the top of the scorer's chart with Cody Gakpo, Georges Mikautazde, and Ivan Schranz, who each have three goals.

2. Arda Guler

The Real Madrid youngster, despite his limited game time at the club last season, has started three games, including the Round of 16 win over Austria. He netted a goal in the opening match and contributed both goals in the knockout stage victory over Austria.

3. Lamine Yamal

Yamal is the youngest player in the tournament, but age has not stopped him from making an impact. According to Planet Football, he is third on the list of chances created, with 11 so far. He has been a menace for opposing full-backs.

4. Nico Williams

Yamal’s business partner, Williams, has been terrorising defenders on the left wing, while the Barcelona youngster does business on the left. The two have helped Spain reach the last eight, where they will face hosts, Germany.

5. William Saliba

Like many on this list, Saliba boasts enough top flight football experience to be regarded as a youngster. Didier Deschamps has trusted him to start for France ahead of Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate. He has completed 97% of his passes to help Les Bleus keep three clean sheets.

Arda Guler equals Ronaldo and Rooney's records

Sports Brief also reported on Guler equaling Ronaldo and Rooney's records after assisting Merih Demiral for Turkiye's second goal in their 2-1 Round of 16 win over Austria.

The former Fenerbahce star is now the third teenager to score and assist at a single Euro tournament, a feat achieved by both legends at Euro 2004 before Guler was born.
