Roberto Landi caused a frenzy with a social media video detailing his desire and dream to coach Nigeria. Other managers have also weighed in on the situation, presenting reasons why they might be the right fit for the Super Eagles. The latest to make his case is Swiss coach, Raoul Savoy.

Raoul Savoy discusses Super Eagles job

In an interview with Brila.net, the former Gambia manager discussed the coaching challenges facing the Nigerian team.

"I don't know why the Nigerian team is not performing well. Perhaps the expatriate coaches they hire don't understand Africa well enough and might not be suitable for the team," Savoy remarked.

Regarding the possibility of taking over the role amid the search for a foreign coach, the Central African Republic manager hinted that the NFF should consider reaching out to him.

"I can't apply while I'm under contract with another national team. It's not fair. But in football, when you want something and you believe someone is the right fit for your technical staff, you just make the call, and then we can talk. However, I won't apply because I'm under contract; it's not fair," he explained.

In addition to his experience with Gambia and the Central African Republic, Savoy has also had stints with Ethiopia and Swaziland.
