In an interview with Brila.net, the former Gambia manager discussed the coaching challenges facing the Nigerian team.
"I don't know why the Nigerian team is not performing well. Perhaps the expatriate coaches they hire don't understand Africa well enough and might not be suitable for the team," Savoy remarked.
Regarding the possibility of taking over the role amid the search for a foreign coach, the Central African Republic manager hinted that the NFF should consider reaching out to him.
"I can't apply while I'm under contract with another national team. It's not fair. But in football, when you want something and you believe someone is the right fit for your technical staff, you just make the call, and then we can talk. However, I won't apply because I'm under contract; it's not fair," he explained.
