According to a report by SABC Sport, per the South African, Kaizer Chiefs had discrete talks with Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates, for the services of their defender, Bongani Sam.

The Bucs are happy with the idea of Sam joining their city rivals after being surplus to requirements in Jose Riveiro's squad, and he's not part of the Spanish tactician's plans for next season.
