Bongani Zungu

The 31-year-old midfielder will depart the club for a second time in his career.

Having played for them in 2016, he then played in Portugal, Scotland, and France, before returning to South Africa.

He made 30 appearances for champions this past season but featured mainly as a substitute.

Brian Onyango

A veteran defender, Onyango has been with the side since 2020.

The Kenyan made 61 appearances for the side, winning three league titles with them.

FARPost noted that Sundowns coach, Rulani Mokwena, previously praised the defender, describing him as such a special player.

Thabiso Kutumela

The 30-year-old striker leaves the side after just 38 appearances since 2021.

Kutumela spent the past season on loan at Cape Town, where he made 28 appearances.

He was previously linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs and should find a new side soon.

Gaston Sirino

Urguay’s Sirino’s departure was expected by many.

The midfielder previously put in a transfer request and has experienced limited game time of late.

Now officially a South African citizen, he could return to his country or remain in the league.

Zungu linked with Saudi Arabian move

Sports Brief also reported that Zungu could be heading to Saudi Arabia to play his football.

The midfielder has no shortage of experience playing abroad, having won played in Europe.

The links with the Middle Eastern nation came after he announced his exit from Sundowns.
