Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal, has achieved a unique feat only managed by Cristiano Ronaldo at the Euros.

The Euro 2024 tournament continues to have records shattered, with competing teams and players setting their sights on continental glory in Germany.

Yamal is the latest player to ink his name in history books at the tournament. The teenage sensation equalled a record previously held by Ronaldo during Spain's last 16 clashes against Georgia on Sunday, June 30, in Cologne.

According to Sportskeeda, the youngster played a vital part in La Roja's huge 4-1 win to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Luis de la Fuente's charges had to come from 1-0 down to advance after Robin Le Normand directed the ball into his own net in the 18th minute, giving the minnows the lead.

Rodri equalised for Spain in the 39th minute before Fabian Ruiz made it 2-1 shortly after the break.

Nico Williams and Dani Olmo were on target late in the second half to steer Spain to a comfortable win.

Yamal equals Ronaldo's record

Yamal was responsible for one of Spain's four goals, with the teen sensation setting up Williams in the 75th minute.

By so doing, Stats Muse reports that the youngster became the first teenager to register multiple assists at the Euros since Ronaldo 20 years ago.

The Barca star bagged his first assist in the competition in Spain's opening game against Croatia during the group stages.

With his country firmly in the competition, the 16-year-old hopes to eventually shatter the Portuguese record.

Spain are scheduled to face hosts Germany in the quarter-finals of the European tournament.

Germany reached the last eight after edging Denmark 2-0 in the knockouts.

Yamal passes exams

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Yamal has every reason to be happy after he passed his exams as he helped Spain reach the quarter-finals of the Euro 2024.

The 16-year-old recently disclosed that he had succeeded in his exams, which he had been studying for during the tournament.
