English Premier League club Manchester United have made their final decision over former South African international Benni McCarthy.

After months of speculation over the striker coach's future, the situation of the Bafana Bafana legend has taken another twist.

Recall that in May, McCarthy spoke glowingly about PSL club Kaizer Chiefs during a South African radio station program.

Although Chiefs remain his boyhood club, the former striker is an Orlando Pirates legend.

During the radio show, the coach was asked about his take on the Naturena vacancy, and he said he would never refuse them.

It is believed he made such comments because his deal at Old Trafford was coming to an end.

Aside from the Amakhosi, McCarthy has also been linked with clubs in the Major League Soccer.

Benni McCarthy to leave Manchester United

Reports from The Athletic claim McCarthy will leave his position as a first-team coach when his two-year contract expires at the end of June.

Efforts are underway to hire two new coaches to replace McCarthy and Eric Ramsay, who departed to join Minnesota United in February.

United are in advanced talks to add Ruud van Nistelrooy and current Go Ahead Eagles head coach Rene Hake to Ten Hag’s staff.

Kaizer Chiefs stars train with Orlando Pirates

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs stars Happy Mashiane and Sabelo Radebe were spotted training alongside two Orlando Pirates players ahead of the new season in the Premier Soccer League.

The Glamour Boys will have new managers in charge of the squad this summer, which opens the chances of all the players, and they can fight for a place in the starting line-up.

Amakhosi have reportedly resumed preseason training as players were seen at the Naturena on Monday, June 24.
