Former Abha Club of Saudi manager Pitso Mosimane has sent an unexpected message to impressive Bafana Bafana star Teboho Mokoena, whose future at Mamelodi Sundowns remains uncertain.

After an incredible performance for the South African national team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, Mokoena has continued to attract interest from abroad.

His stock has risen recently, and he is now regarded as one of the best midfielders on the continent.

The impressive midfielder is linked to several clubs, including AC Monaco, Al Ahly, AFC Bournemouth, and Al Wakrah of Qatar.

Former Sundowns boss Pitso recently declared that he is willing to help Mokoena make the right career decisions. The tactician said via FarPost:

"Qatar is good. But if he wants to know where to go, where to be, why there, why not there, he can give me a call, I can advise.
“I don’t want to be his manager or agent. He’s my boy.”

Mosimane's experience in Africa and the Middle East put him in the position of a guide to the dynamic 27-year-old star.

Further reports claim that Egyptian club Al Ahly, where Pitso also had a stint, are also eyeing the Bafana Bafana midfield star.7

Mokoena joined Sundowns from SuperSport United in January 2022 after signing a three-and-a-half-year deal with an option to extend for an additional year.

Having won two DStv Premiership titles with Sundowns, he remains one of the key players under Rulani Mokwena.

Pitso Mosimane addresses his future

Sports Brief earlier reported that Pitso Mosimane is seeking a new job after an unsuccessful spell at Abha Club in Saudi Arabia.

The Mamelodi Sundowns legend was unable to save the club from relegation following defeat in the final game of the 2023/24 season.

The CAF Champions League winner has broken his silence about his future and disclosed where he would love to coach next.
