Itumeleng Khune is expected to leave Kaizer Chiefs in the coming weeks after more than two decades at Naturena.

Amakhosi announced before the 2023/24 season that the legendary goalkeeper will sign his final contract with the club.

The Soweto giants have reportedly identified a goalkeeper who could replace the veteran.

The Chiefs are expected to decide about players whose contracts have expired, including Khune. Three big names were released earlier this week.

According to KickOff, Chiefs have opened talks with Rwandan goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari, about a possible transfer to Naturena.

Ntwari had an impressive first season with TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership. He kept eight clean sheets in 18 matches, the same as Chiefs' starting goalie, Bruce Bvuma.

The 24-year-old is expected to form part of the goalkeeping department ahead of the arrival of the new coach, Nasreddine Nabi.

The Tunisian will likely be appointed in the coming days after his final match with AS FAR Rabat this weekend, per IOL. His main task will be to help the club recapture its former glory.

Kaizer Chiefs players warned about Nabi

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs were warned about Nasreddine Nabi's strict policies.

His former player at Young Africans, Said Juma Makapu, said the AS FAR Rabat coach loves hardworking players.

Makapu added that Nabi demands discipline from his players, and whoever doesn't have it will not be on his team.

Sports Brief also previously reported on Raja Casablanca's coach, Fadlu Davids, explaining Nabi's tactics.

Davids said the Tunisian loves to play direct football and utilise set pieces in the team. The Soweto giants were among the lowest scorers in the league last season, and there's hope Nabi can rejuvenate their attack.
