Ahead of the 2024/2025 season, English Premier League club Liverpool are reportedly interested in Nigerian international Ademola Lookman.

A number of clubs in England are eyeing the forward, who netted a hat-trick to help Atalanta win the Europa League title over Bayer Leverkusen.

Lookman also played an important role in Nigeria's campaign at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where the Super Eagles finished as runners-up.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in the star, and the latest reports from Italy suggest that Liverpool are now eyeing the 26-year-old.

Calcio Mercato reported via Complete Sports that Atalanta are not willing to let the player leave; however, they could be forced to sell should they receive an offer in excess of £50m.

Since moving to the Italian club in 2022, Lukman has netted 32 goals at club level. He previously played for Merseyside rivals Everton but scored just four goals in 48 games for the Toffees.

Meanwhile, Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini is happy that Lookman is reaching his potential because he was patient with the Nigerian international.

The 26-year-old had frustrating spells at RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City before the Bundesliga club sold him to Atalanta in 2022.
