A dramatic 94th-minute goal by Cenk Tosun ensured Turkey’s advancement to the Round of 16, where they will face Group D winners Austria, per Eurosport.

This win placed Turkey second in Group F, behind Portugal.

However, the celebrations were abruptly interrupted when a fight erupted between Turkish and Czech players moments after the final whistle.

The altercation resulted in a red card for Czechia's Tomas Chory and yellow cards for Czech captain Tomas Soucek and Turkish star Arda Guler.

With a total of 14 yellow cards and another red card during the match, it set a new record for the most cards in a single UEFA European Championship game (18).

The Czechs needed a victory to advance to the knockout stage but ultimately finished at the bottom of Group F with just one point despite equalizing in the 66th minute.

If Turkey continues to perform exceptionally, they might face England later in the tournament, with both teams on the same side of the knockout bracket.

To reach the finals, Turkey and England will need to overcome formidable opponents like the Netherlands, Italy, and Switzerland.

In the other Group F match on Wednesday, Georgia, the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, achieved a stunning 2-0 victory over Portugal to advance from the group.

Georgia now faces a tough challenge in the Round of 16 against Spain, the only team to win all three of their group-stage matches.

Vincenzo Montella's Turkey finished second in Group F behind Portugal to progress, as the Czechs were eliminated despite a brave performance on a sweltering night in Hamburg.
