Kaizer Chiefs have begun overhauling their squad ahead of Nasreddine Nabi's arrival, as three of their experienced players have been released.

The Soweto Giants had a poor outing in the 2023-24 season, which led to the club board deciding to let some of their senior players leave before the new campaign starts in a few days.

The Glamour Boys are working on appointing Nabi as their new coach and are already making plans for his arrival by releasing some players who might not be in the Tunisian tactician's plans.

Three experienced players leave Kaizer Chiefs

According to a report by the South African, Kaizer Chiefs have decided to release Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti and Siyethemba Sithebe from their contracts.

The trio's future was uncertain at the end of the season, and their contract was expected to end this month.

Sithebe took to his Instagram story to confirm his departure from the Soweto-based club on Tuesday, June 26.

"I'm giving thanks to the Khosi nation for the time I spent playing for them; my hands are above my head. Wish you the best season and in future," he said.

According to iDiskiTimes, Dolly's representative, Siyavuma Sports Group (SSG), confirmed their client is officially leaving Kaizer Chiefs and will seek a new club this summer.

"Dolly is fit and will now assess the way forward from the options he's received, having known to be heading towards the end of his contract at Kaizer Chiefs," an SSG spokesperson confirmed.
"It was confirmed today, and we're sure it won't be too long before his next move is secured."

Chiefs could miss out on Hrimat

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs could miss out on AS FAR star, Mohamed Rabie Hrimat, this summer.

The Moroccan midfielder has been linked with a move to the Soweto Giants, where his current coach is set to begin shortly.
