Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved an astounding statistic at Euro 2024 that is hard to believe.

It's clear that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has mastered the art of succeeding at the European Championship.

The 39-year-old nearly became a European champion at just 19 but couldn't prevent his team from suffering a shocking 1-0 defeat to Greece in the Euro 2004 final.

Twelve years later, the Real Madrid legend redeemed himself by leading Portugal to victory at Euro 2016 in France, despite leaving the final due to injury.

Ronaldo yet to score but sets new record

Euro 2024 might be the Ronaldo's last chance to win a major tournament with Portugal.

After a shaky opening game win against Czechia, Portugal dominated Turkey with a 3-0 victory, securing the top spot in Group F, per GOAL.

Ronaldo has yet to score, though he selflessly assisted Bruno Fernandes for an easy goal against Turkey.

Over the two games, it's clear the ex-Manchester United star isn't at his peak physically or technically.

Ronaldo's insane statistics

However, one stat from his performances shows he's far from retiring.

Stat on UEFA's website shows that Ronaldo has clocked a top speed of 32.7 km/h, the fastest he has recorded at any European Championship since UEFA began tracking player speeds in 2012.

At Euro 2012, when he was 27, Ronaldo's top speed was 32 km/h. Four years later in France, his speed dropped to 29.1 km/h, before rising to 29.7 km/h at Euro 2020 (played in 2021).

The fact that the veteran attacker has recorded his fastest speed ever at a Euros at the age of 39 is incredible and a testament to his dedication to maintaining his physical condition and giving his all for his country.

Ronaldo spotted pushing pitch invader

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on a video emerging of Ronaldo appearing to push away a pitch invader during the Euros.

The Al Nassr star was approached by at least three pitch invaders during Portugal's game against Turkey in Dortmund.
