According to him, Messi has achieved everything in football and fulfilled all his dreams, which means he is close to retirement as there is nothing more to accomplish.

2. Darwin Nunez

The Liverpool striker turns 25 today but will only have a little time to party as he is on international duty with Uruguay at the 2024 Copa America in the United States. He scored in the 3-1 win over Panama to open the Copa group stage for his country.

3. Micah Richards

Richard turns 36 today and spent most of his playing career at Manchester City. He also featured for Fiorentina and Aston Villa but was limited to a few games due to a serious knee injury. He retired in 2019 and is a pundit for CBS Sports.

4. Juan Roman Riquelme

Riquelme is one of Argentina’s greatest playmakers and turns 46 today. He played with Messi and Diego Maradona. According to ESPN Argentina, he named them the best players of their generations to avoid comparing the two. He is also the president of Boca Juniors.

5. Shunsuke Nakamura

One of Japanese football's greatest players, Nakamura, turns 46 today. He spent the majority of his career in the J League and had stints in Europe with Celtic and Espanyol. He is renowned for his great free-kick skills and is the head coach of Yokohama FC.
