As Kaizer Chiefs continue to re-strategise ahead of the coming season, Majdi Safi, a former Raja Athletic Club and Wydad Athletic Club fitness coach, looks set to join the club.

Over the weekend, the Soweto giants confirmed the arrivals of first assistant coach Fernando da Cruz, as well as goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi.

The newly-appointed coaches are billed to work with Nasreddine Nabi, who is set to be announced as the club's new manager.

iDiski Times reports that Da Cruz and Mzoughi are expected to sign two-year contracts, having agreed verbally prior to their arrivals.

Further reports claim fitness coach Safi is the next man to arrive at the Naturena as the club hierarchy looks to start working ahead of Nabi's arrival.

Tunisian tactician Nabi is technically being contracted to Moroccan outfit AS FAR after they booked their ticket in the Moroccan Throne Cup final.

According to multiple sources, Nabi has already agreed to personal terms with the club, but Chiefs are still required to pay compensation to buy him out of the remainder of his contract with FAR Rabat.

The deal confirmation has been protracted due to the Moroccan domestic cup, which has been drawn out way beyond the season-ending date scheduled.

Chiefs fans anticipate Nabi's announcement

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chiefs fans will have to wait longer for the official unveiling of Nasreddine Nabi as the club’s next head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Tunisian tactician has reportedly agreed to become the next Amakhosi coach after talks with the management of the Soweto giants, who are desperate to bring in an experienced gaffer.

Rumours suggest the Tunisian coach has signed a two-year deal with Amakhosi but cannot join the South African club until the conclusion of the cup competition - his final game in charge of AS FAR Rabat.
