Marcus Rashford's brother has aimed a thinly veiled attack at England manager, Gareth Southgate, following their one-all draw against Denmark on June 20.

The Three Lions put on another disappointing performance as they settled for a draw despite taking the lead through a record-extending Harry Kane goal in the 18th minute.

Morten Hjulmand also made history of his own by scoring his first goal in national team colours with a rasping goal from way out, which might as well be the goal of the tournament contender.

Despite the star-studded squad at Southgate's disposal, England have struggled to impose themselves in Germany. In their opening game against Serbia, they barely just managed to get away with a slender 1-0 win.

The two results have left fans wondering whether the Three Lions should be considered as one of the favourites for the trophy after all.

What Rashford's brother said about Southgate

Rashford's brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, took to Instagram and said,

"It's hard to sit and watch when you honestly believe your man could make a difference!"

The Manchester United forward was one of the high-profile omissions from Southgate's final squad. In fact, the 26-year-old was not included at all in the provisional squad of 33, which was later whittled down to 26 players.

England still leads the group with four points despite the unconvincing performances. They take on Slovenia next Tuesday in the final group game.

Why Southgate is the stumbling block to England's success

Sports Brief has also previously explained why Southgate is England's main problem at Euro 2024 after a lack of convincing results in Germany so far.

The manager once again showed that he does not have an idea of how to get the best out of his talented players with dubious set-ups and substitutions.

Cole Palmer has been a conspicuous absentee, with the Chelsea forward yet to get a single minute in despite his Premier League heroics last season.
