Saudi Pro League giants, Al Ittihad, are reportedly interested in West Ham United attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, ahead of the summer transfer window.

The former Saudi champions want to add the Ghanaian international to their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season after failing to defend their SPL title last season.

Kudus enjoyed an outstanding first season in the Premier League, scoring 14 goals across all competitions for the Hammers since joining from Ajax last summer.

According to ESPN, Al-Ittihad are preparing a deal to sign the forward this summer as part of efforts to beef up their squad for next season.

The Jeddah-based club already have France stars, N'Golo Kante and Karim Benzema, on their roster but want to bolster their team with younger players.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old is expected to continue his stay in the Premier League, with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested in his services.

The former Ajax midfielder will return to England in July to begin pre-season with the Hammers but a move away from the London club could go through if the right deal is accepted by West Ham.

Kudus ended his Premier League campaign with eight goals and six assists last season, per Transfermarkt, attracting interest from various clubs in the world's top leagues.

Kudus named second most valuable African player

Sports Brief also previously reported that Kudus' value has skyrocketed after an impressive first season in the English Premier League with West Ham United.

The Ghana international joins Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, and Nigerian duo Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen, in the list of top 10 most expensive African players in 2024.

Other players on the list are AFCON winner Simon Adingra, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, and Brahim Diaz, who won the double with Real Madrid last term.
