Despite dominating, Portugal fell behind to Lukas Provod's fine strike from the edge of the box just after the hour mark, France24 reports.

However, an own goal by Robin Hranac soon equalised for Portugal before Francisco Conceicao's last-gasp winner.

Ronaldo's cold celebration against Czechia

Ronaldo was thwarted three times by goalkeeper, Jindrich Stanek, and had a header hit the post, although he had already been flagged for offside.

Diogo Jota scored on the rebound, but the VAR disallowed the goal due to the veteran forward's positioning.

Ultimately, it didn't matter for CR7 and Portugal, as Conceicao's close-range strike sealed the crucial win, per NBC Sports.

The 21-year-old's goal ignited wild celebrations among the Portuguese squad, including Ronaldo.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, unable to contain his emotions, celebrated in front of the visibly distraught Stanek, who leaned against the post.

Ronaldo taunted the Czech goalkeeper before joining his jubilant teammates.
