Ahead of the seemingly imminent announcement of Nasreddine Nabi as the new head coach of Kaizer Chiefs, reports have it that former FAR Rabat director, Fernando Da Cruz, is also set to join Amakhosi's technical team.

Nabi has been heavily linked to taking charge of the Soweto giants this summer, and the Tunisian tactician has confirmed receiving offers from South Africa.

Multiple reports suggest that his appointment is expected to be announced in the coming weeks and many believe this would mark a significant step in the right direction for Chiefs.

According to SABC, Da Cruz, who worked with Moroccan outfit, FAR Rabat, is also set to join Nabi at the Black and Gold. The outlet wrote:

"It’s not the first time the 51-year-old former FAR Rabat technical director has been linked with a move to Naturena, having been in talks with the Soweto giants as a replacement for Arthur Zwane a year ago."

French reports have it that the Frenchman is billed to arrive in Johannesburg shortly to begin the groundwork for the incoming coach.

The reports added:

"The two have not worked together before, but it’s believed Nabi has insisted on Da Cruz being part of his technical team after being impressed by his work with FAR, where he succeeded the Frenchman at the start of the 2023/24 season."

After going another season without silverware, Kaizer Chiefs are expected to overhaul the technical crew headed by Cavin Johnson, who was appointed on an interim basis.

The club finished the 2023/2024 DStv Premiership season on a poor note, finishing in 10th position, marking their worst-ever finish in the PSL era.

Kaizer Chiefs eye Grant Margeman

Sports Brief also previously reported that Kaizer Chiefs are eyeing SuperSport United midfielder, Grant Margeman, ahead of Nasreddine Nabi's apparent appointment as coach.

Amakhosi are desperate to land the Bafana Bafana midfielder ahead of their PSL rivals during the summer transfer window and could name their new manager later this month.
