Real Madrid sensation, Arda Guler, announced himself at the 2024 European Championship with a stunning long-range drive in Turkey's Group F opening match against Georgia on June 18.
Making his debut appearance for Turkey at a major tournament, the 19-year-old was handed a starting berth by coach, Vincenzo Montella, and repaid the confidence reposed in him with a goal.
Receiving a pass from Kaan Ayhan, Guler unleashed an unstoppable left-footed curler, which zoomed past Giorgi Mamardahvili and found the top corner to restore the lead for the Crescent-Stars.
According to Opta Jose, his strike in the 65th minute made him the first teenager to score on his European Championship debut since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2004.
