The Premier League has officially released fixtures for the upcoming season, 2024/2025. Chelsea will face a stern test when they welcome defending champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on match week one.

The Blues will, for the third season in a row, begin with a new manager after Mauricio Pochettino left his role by mutual consent after only one season in charge. Enzo Maresca was appointed on a five-year deal after guiding Leicester City back to the top division at the first time of asking.

Pep Guardiola's side will open their campaign, angling to reach a record-extending feat of becoming the first side to win five top-flight titles in a row.

Arsenal will seek to go one better this time around after coming desperately close in the last two seasons. The Gunners will welcome Wolves at the Emirates.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will once again face a promoted side when they travel to Portman Road to face Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town. The game will be the first in nine years without Jurgen Klopp as Arne Slot introduces himself to the Premier League.

Tottenham will also be away at another promoted side when they play Leicester City at King Power Stadium, while Manchester United will play Fulham at Old Trafford. The Manchester United fixture will be the first game of the season on August 16, with the game week ending on Monday at the King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils will play Manchester City a week earlier in the Community Shield after beating their cross-town rivals in the FA Cup on May 25.

The third game week will see Liverpool travel to Manchester United before the North London Derby takes centre stage the following week. The full list can be accessed on the Premier League's website.

Who is Chelsea's new signing Tosin Adarabioyo?

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea had completed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham.

The Nigeria-eligible defender swapped the London clubs, sealing a four-year deal to become Maresca's first signing.

The lanky defender will be a welcome addition to shore up Chelsea's numbers at the back, especially after Thiago Silva's departure.
