The match so far has been the least entertaining and the first game not to produce at least two goals in the 17th edition of the tournament, which is just in its first round of matches.

Why England players wear special rings

The English players have been spotted wearing special rings during their training sessions at the ongoing Euro 2024, with manager Gareth Southgate and Chelsea academy graduates Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi seen wearing them.

According to The Telegraph, the Oura ring was designed by a Finnish tech company. It costs between £299 and £549 and comes in plain, thick silver, gold, or titanium bands.

It has three sensors: a tiny infrared light, an accelerometer and a body temperature monitor. It records heart and breathing rates, logs the data into a linked app, and monitors stress levels and sleep quality.

According to The Athletic, the ring is designed to be worn 24 hours a day to optimise the consistency and reliability of the data, but it's unlikely they will be allowed to wear it during games.

The device has been spotted on celebrities including Kim Kardashian, football star Cristiano Ronaldo and NBA players. At the same time, the company also listed the United States Army as one of its clients.

Fabregas sends message to Foden

Sports Brief reported on Cesc Fabregas sending a message to Phil Foden after the Manchester City star’s performance for England against Serbia in their opening group C game.

The former Premier League star did not have excuses for the winger’s performance, charging him to do more and take a cue from Real Madrid star Bellingham.
