Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has commented on the feud between Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and erstwhile Super Eagles coach Finidi George.

The controversial street pop artist has backed the reigning African Footballer of the Year following his outburst on social media where he lambasted Finidi over alleged comments made by the former Nigerian international.

According to Business Day Nigeria, Osimhen’s outburst stemmed from an online blog post alleging that Finidi had called out some prominent Super Eagles players, including the Napoli star forward for not showing commitment to the national team.

Portable has, however, thrown his support behind the Italy-based forward after calls for him to be banned from the Nigeria national team following his recent outburst by some ex-internationals.

Osimhen missed Nigeria’s last two World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin after being excused from the team following a muscle injury he sustained during Napoli’s last Serie A game of the season.

Idah Peterside wants Osimhen banned

Meanwhile, ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper, Idah Peterside, has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to ban Osimhen from national team duties for further notice following the striker’s latest outburst, Punch NG reports.

Peterside urged the 25-year-old forward to apologize to Finidi for his actions as he claims that the reigning Africa Footballer of the Year has disrespected the former Super Eagles coach.

Finidi has reportedly tendered his resignation as Nigeria’s coach after two bad results with the NFF now seeking to hire a foreign technical adviser.

Osimhen fires back at Finidi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Osimhen had fired back at Finidi over the Nigerian coach's alleged comments after the Super Eagles' poor results in the World Cup qualifiers.

The former Nigeria midfielder feels the Napoli striker could still have managed to play the two matches, if he's committed enough to the national team but decided to pull out of both matches.

Osimhen took to his official Instagram page to hold a live session to address the issue.
