Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus is backing Harry Kane to win the Golden Boot award at the 2024 European Championship despite not scoring in England’s opening group game.

The Three Lions secured a slim 1-0 victory against Serbia in their opening Group C encounter on Sunday, June 16, with the Bayern Munich forward mostly caged for most of the game.

According to Daily Post Nigeria, Kudus has labelled Kane as a class finisher and has tipped the England forward to win the Golden Boot ahead of the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The West Ham forward made this assertion on the Premier League club’s official social media page when discussing the Euro 2024 tournament and the chances of the likely winner of the competition.

Kane, who scored 36 goals in all competition for Bayern Munich last season, ended the 2023/24 campaign as the top scorer in the German Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile, Kane is optimistic he can end his trophy drought by winning the European championship with England as the Three Lions pushes to win their first senior trophy since 1966, BBC reports.

The 30-year-old forward is yet to win a major silverware in his football career after spending most of his senior career with Tottenham and recently with Bayern Munich.
