Former MMA champion, Conor McGregor, has placed a huge bet on Portuguese veteran Cristiano Ronaldo to achieve another feat at the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany.
The Portuguese star will compete in his sixth Euros this summer, a record in the competition's history.
Ronaldo will captain the 2016 tournament winners. He's the second oldest player in the competition, with his countryman Pepe edging him in that aspect.
According to a report by Sportskeeda, McGregor confirmed in a deleted social media post that he placed a £50,745 wager on Ronaldo to finish as the highest goal scorer at Euro 2024 in Germany, thus retaining the Golden Boot award.
