Dutch forward, Memphis Depay, sported a distinctive white headband during the Netherlands' Euro 2024 opener against Poland, a look he also adopted in recent friendlies against Canada and Iceland.
The 30-year-old's choice of accessory has sparked considerable discussion on social media, with some Dutch media outlets criticising it.
Depay, however, defended his decision last week, citing the headband's practicality for managing sweat and noting his girlfriend's approval of the look.
"After the Iceland match, I spent 20 minutes with the press, and no one asked about the headband," Depay said via Sportbible.
