The Soweto Giants, Kaizer Chiefs, are set for a busy off-season following a poor season.

Amakhosi finished 10th in the DStv Premiership, their worst in the PSL era and are reportedly close to appointing Nasreddine Nabi as their new coach.

Nabi is expected to bring in his backroom staff, and the details of the club's plans if Nabi becomes coach have emerged.

According to iDiski Times, Kaizer Chiefs are close to striking a deal to make Nabi their new head coach. The AS FAR Rabat boss has agreed personal terms with the PSL giants, including bringing his own coaching staff.

The report adds that Nabi's backroom staff is already set. His current assistant, Khalil Ben Youssef, will be his second assistant; Ilyes Mzoughi will join as goalkeeper coach, while Muzi Maluleke will become the strength and conditioning coach.

Nabi to bring in more backroom staff

It adds that talks about a high-profile assistant are progressing. An analyst will also join Nabi's team, making it a six-man team. If Nabi becomes coach, Kaizer Chiefs are also planning a training camp in Europe.

During this off-season, the club will be looking to sign a goalkeeper, a striker, and a left fullback. In addition, decisions will be made about out-of-contract players.

According to GOAL, he will likely join the club next week after the Throne Cup final, which he believes will be played on June 30.

"I hope to attend the Throne Cup final, God Almighty willing. I learned from friends of mine inside Raja some time ago about the final date and it was said that it will be the 30th of this month. Therefore, before I leave for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa - to have my experience with them, I hope to guide The Royal Army. I will be crowned with them in the Throne Cup final."

AS FAR defeated MAS de Fes 2-0 in the semis on Sunday to book their spot in the final. They will discover their opponent on Tuesday when league champions, Raja Athletic Club play Oujda in the other semi-final clash.
