According to SPORTbible, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson are among the other Reds heading to Germany with their respective countries.

Van Dijk will represent the Netherlands, while Robertson will wear Scotland's national colours.

On his part, Szoboszlai will be representing Hungary at the tournament.

Incredibly, the former RB Leipzig ace will also be captaining his country, having been handed the armband by the country's head coach, Marco Rossi, back in November 2022.

Szoboszlai set for Euro history

The Hungarian is now in line to set a 64-year Euro record ahead of his participation in the tournament.

At just 23 years and seven months old, Szoboszlai will ink his name in history books as the youngest-ever captain since the inauguration of the tournament in 1960.

The ex-RB Salzburg ace is expected to play a key part in his team's campaign, with Rossi backed to hand him a free role on the pitch.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, he said via UEFA.com:

“A few days ago, I found out that I’ll be the youngest team captain of all time at the European Championship; this is a great honour for me and at the same time."
"I would like to thank Marco Rossi for trusting me and for giving me the opportunity to lead the team to the European Championship," he added.

Magyarok are in Group A of the tournament along with hosts Germany, Scotland, and Switzerland.

Italy boss sets tough Euro rules

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Italy boss Luciano Spalletti has set four strict rules for his players to follow during Euro 2024.

Italy will be seeking to defend the Euro crown ahead of the 2024 edition of the continental tournament in Germany.
