Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly is reportedly linked with a summer move to Amakhosi's Premier Soccer League rivals ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The South African international had little contribution to Kaizer Chiefs' 2023-24 season, as he struggled with injury for most part of the campaign.

The player's injury issue is a major concern for the Glamour Boys, as he's currently their top earner with a yearly take home of R17.4 million.

Taking Dolly out of the payroll is one task the Kaizer Chiefs board hopes to sort out this summer, with a few days left on his contract.

According to a report by the South African, two teams in the DStv Premiership are said to be interested in signing the Kaizer Chiefs midfielder.

Cape Town City are monitoring the midfielder's situation with Amakhosi as they plan a summer move.

The Blue and Gold Army face competition from AmaZulu FC for the Bafana Bafana midfielder's signature. The only issue with Dolly's deal is his huge salary.

The Soweto Giants having Dolly off their payroll will be an added advantage to the club's summer recruitment plan.

Itumeleng Khune, who is also one of the highest earners at the Naturena, is also keen on leaving the club.

Chiefs to offload nine players this summer

Sports Brief also reported on Kaizer Chiefs intention to offload up to nine players from their squad this summer ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The Glamour Boys are considering a squad overhaul after having a poor campaign in the South African league this season in which they finished 10th.

The club's top earner is one of the players who could leave the Naturena this summer.
