According to the South African, Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing Gaston Sirino from Mamelodi Sundowns this summer, but they have yet to table an offer to the Brazilians.

The DStv Premiership champions are reportedly yet to make a definitive decision on the Uruguayan star's future, with the Amakhosi earnestly waiting for an update on the player.

The Soweto-based club are said to be 'ready to pounce' on Sirino if Sundowns decides not to renew his contract this summer.

An insider for Soccer Laduma said the player has made clear his intention to leave the Brazilians in pursuit of regular playing time.

"Since he made it clear that he would want to leave and go where he would play more regularly, there have been a few teams which have made inquiries about his services, and one of those teams is Kaizer Chiefs," the source stated.

Four issues facing Kaizer Chiefs

Sports Brief earlier reported on former Amakhosi star David Kannemeyer, who identified four problems currently affecting Kaizer Chiefs in the last few years.

The ex-defender faulted the club's planning, culture, philosophy, and scouting and called for a thorough clean-up if the PSL giants were to recapture any glory.

Nabi gives demands to Chiefs

Sports Brief also earlier reported on the top candidate for the coaching role, Nasreddine Nabi, giving Kaizer Chiefs demands if he was to join them.

The Tunisian tactician, who is the current coach of AS FAR Rabat, reportedly wanted to hear about the club's vision and choose his backroom staff.
