A loyal Lionel Messi fan got the rare honour of having the Argentine maestro’s signature on his body after his tattoo went viral.
Brazilian Barca fan Igor Magalhaes’s story is quite so remarkable that he joked that he could now die happy after coming into contact with Messi, quite literally.
His adventure began in 2019 when he decided to get a tattoo of Lionel Messi, which is quite normal for any fan who is mesmerized by the 32-year old’s immense football ability.

He however did not get just any tattoo as his ink was one of a kind for various reasons.
For one thing, he got a tattoo of Messi holding up his number 10 shirt during the memorable el classic where he scored a last winner against bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Secondly, to say the tattoo was a work of art would be an understatement as it captured intense details of Lionel Messi to the point it almost looked like a real picture.
Despite the screaming nature of the tattoo, it did not make headlines until recently when he was featured in TYC Sports.
Tyc Sport shared the clip on their Instagram and it instantly captured the attention of millions of people on the internet including Lionel Messi who ended up posting a rare comment regarding the tattoo.
In the comment section, the Barca icon said, “Terrible tattoo! I love it! I would like to see it and sign it."

Quite remarkably, a meeting to have Messi live up to his promise was arranged outside the Argentina team hotel in Brazil.
Messi emerged with the national team security and walked up to Magalhaes and actually signed his back.
The bewildered fan took to Instagram to share the incredible moment, saying "Now I can die in peace.”
Messi, who is currently on duty in the Copa America, was toast of the fans as he produced another man-of-the-match performance against Paraguay.
The Albiceleste defeated Paraguay by a single goal scored by Angel di Maria with the 33-year-old getting fully involved in the build-up.
Moments before the final whistle, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner proved whey he still remain relevant in the sport.
He brilliantly slipped the ball through the legs of a Paraguayan defender and the fans were loving every bit of Messi's sumptuous skill.
