In the 2022 World Cup, Argentina broke a 36-year drought to become world champions, with the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner finally lifting the coveted World Cup trophy.

In the final against France, Messi and his colleagues played a crucial role in what many consider the greatest World Cup final ever, triumphing on penalties after a 3-3 draw, per CNN.

Now, La Albiceleste are aiming for a third consecutive major tournament win.

Following their 2021 Copa America victory and World Cup triumph, the three-time World Champions will head to the United States for the 2024 Copa America later this month.

One standout aspect of Argentina's campaign in Qatar was the team’s chemistry and unity.

This harmony marked a significant departure from previous tournaments, where internal disputes were not uncommon.

In Qatar, it was evident that Argentina’s players were as determined to win the World Cup for Messi as they were for themselves.

Messi spills the beans on Argentina's WhatsApp group

They share a strong camaraderie off the pitch, evidenced by their participation in a WhatsApp group.

In an interview with Infobae, Messi unveiled details about the 'secret' group chat, though he acknowledged that his teammates might not be pleased with him for doing so.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner disclosed that the group chat is named 'World Champions,' and it is managed by AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes.

“I don’t remember. Let me see for a moment. Okay, yes, the name is World Champions. Paredes is the admin of the group.”

Messi names world's best club

In the same interview, Sports Brief reported that Messi gave an honest take when discussing the best clubs in world football in 2024.

Despite Messi’s ties to Real Madrid’s eternal rivals Barca, the Argentine admitted Carlo Ancelotti was the best team in their own right.
