The Manchester City academy graduate adds height and physicality to the Chelsea defence as he is one of the tallest Premier League players.

Sports Brief highlights the five tallest Premier League stars who play regularly for their clubs.

Tallest Premier League players

1. Dan Burn

According to Transfermarkt, the Newcastle star is the tallest in the league, standing at 201 centimetres tall. In 33 league games last season, he won 103 aerial duels, 42 less than Everton defender, James Tarkowski, who led the list with 145.

2. Kristoffer Ajer

The Brentford centre-back is the second-tallest player in the English top flight. The Norwegian defender stands at 198cm tall. According to PL Stat, he played 28 league games for the Bees last season and ranked number 30 on the list of aerial duels won with 65.

3. Nick Pope

Newcastle goalkeeper, Pope, is the tallest shot-stopper in the Premier League, at 198cm. The England international missed the second half of the season through injury and featured only 15 times, thereby missing the 2024 Euro.

4. Robert Sanchez

Chelsea goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, is 197cm tall and one of the tallest shot-stoppers in the league. He played 16 league games last season before losing his place to Djordje Petrovic. The arrival of new manager Enzo Maresca could give him a new lease of life.

5. Tosin Adarabioyo

The new boy at Stamford Bridge stands at 196cm and is one of the tallest in the league. Last season for Fulham, he won 57 aerial duels. He shares the same height as Aston Villa defender, Tyrone Mings.

Several other players in the league are 195 cm tall, including Manchester City's goal machine Erling Haaland, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, and Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite.

Tallest Premier League clubs on average

Sports Brief also previously analysed the tallest Premier League clubs when former Blues boss, Mauricio Pochettino, advocated for more tall players in his team.

Everton and Nottingham Forest had the tallest average team of 186cm each, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s 185cm and Newcastle’s 184cm in the past season.
