Chelsea will sign a new striker this summer, but it will not be Napoli forward Victor Osimhen after the Blues end their interest in the Super Eagles star.
Osimhen appeared to be a top priority target for the Blues all along, but the events of the last few days have confirmed that he will not be heading to Stamford Bridge.
According to The Athletic, the Londoners are unwilling to meet his £110.8 million release clause. They are also concerned about his injury record and suitability for new manager Enzo Maresca’s style of play, which is leading their attention elsewhere.
Sports Brief looks at four strikers linked to the Blues since dropping out of the race for the Nigerian, as they hope to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea deny Osimhen-Lukaku swap deal
Sports Brief previously reported that Chelsea ruled out the Osimhen-Lukaku swap deal and ultimately ended their transfer interest in the Nigerian forward.
The Blues are instead focused on moving on the big money flop Romelu Lukaku for £38mil this summer while in the market for a young forward to rival Jackson in their number nine position.
