Kaizer Chiefs continue their plans to strengthen their squad this summer, and they are said to be interested in signing Super Eagles midfielder Kingsley Michael.

The Glamour Boys are planning to bring in new players before they eventually announce Nasreddine Nabi as their coach for next season.

The Soweto giants finished the 2023-24 campaign on the wrong foot. They failed to make the top eight in the Premier Soccer League and ended without a single trophy, making it the ninth season in a row without a title.

Player recruitment is one of the things that can bring back the glory days at Naturena, and the club are working tirelessly to deliver on that aspect.

According to a report by the South African, Chiefs are reportedly going all out for Michael's signature this summer, who is currently on the books of DSV Leoben in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The Nigerian international's performance convinced Amakhosi scouts, and it's left to the player's agent and the club to decide his future.

According to Soccer Laduma, there could be a midfield reshuffle at Amakhosi which could make way for Michael to join the Soweto giants this summer.

Oswin Appollis on Chiefs' radar

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs are ready to engage PSL rivals AmaZulu FC in a summer transfer battle for Polokwane City star Oswin Appollis' signature.

The South African forward had a good season with Polokwane City in the 2023-24 DStv Premiership, scoring seven goals alongside five assists in 31 appearances as Rise and Shine finished above the Glamour Boys.

The 22-year-old is not expected to leave the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium this summer as he still has two more years on his contract with Polokwane.
