Frimpong, who played an important role in Leverskusen's impressive 51-game unbeaten streak in the 2023–24 campaign, transferred his form at club football to the national team.

Jeremie took matters into his own hands, scoring a stunning goal with his weaker left foot. He drove an unstoppable shot into the top corner after his initial pass was blocked by a Canadian defender, per CBC Sports.
