Belgian tactician, Luc Eymael, has opened up about Nasreddine Nabi's arrival as the new coach of Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

The Tunisian coach is set to take over the Glamour Boys' vacant managerial role before the new season kicks off, and talks are advancing between both parties.

Pitso Mosimane was also linked with the Soweto giants, but the club didn't hold talks with his agent after his contract with Saudi Pro League side, Abha Club, ended.

In a recent interview with Kick Off, as per the South African, Eymael confirmed that Nabi is close to joining Kaizer Chiefs.

The former Free State Stars coach claimed the deal is almost done, but the former AC Leopards manager wants to complete his job with AS FAR Rabat, as they are currently second on the Moroccan League table.

"Kaizer Chiefs 95% want [Nasreddine] Nabi, and if he goes there now [while the league is still on], he will certainly lose out on the league title in Morocco, which will be unfortunate for him because he is a good friend of mine," he said.

The Belgian coach also mentioned that he has no update about Alexandre Santos, as he can only confirm Amakhosi's meeting with Nabi.

"And now Nabi wants to come to Kaizer Chiefs because I know they met. I cannot say anything about Alexandre Santos, and I just saw him coach his team in Angola."

Chiefs might regret choosing Nabi over Mosimane

In a similar report, Sports Brief gave reasons why Kaizer Chiefs might regret choosing Nabi ahead of Pitso Mosimane.

Several managers were linked with Amakhosi's job, but the Soweto giants are said to be sticking with their target from last year, Nabi.
