Reports also suggest that Koller has urged the Red Giants to offer the Bafana Bafana star a new contract, which would keep him away from suitors like the Glamour Boys.
The Swiss tactician's new decision came after he met with Al Ahly sporting director Khaled Bebo.
Kaizer Chiefs will now switch focus to other transfer targets for their attacking department as they hope to improve their strike force before the new season starts in a few months.

FootballTau linked with Zamalek of Egypt
Sports Brief earlier reported that Egyptian legend, Ahmed Hossam, popularly known as Mido, asked his former club, Zamalek, to sign Tau from Al Ahly.
However, it has been suggested he might not be interested in the move because the side is struggling at the moment, sitting 13th in the league.
Tau, who has 25 goals for his current club from 104 appearances, would likely not want to miss the FIFA Club World Cup with Al Ahly next year.
