In what was a fiery game, Aguero got into an altercation with an opponent over a harsh tackle.

A video shared by ESPN, the official broadcaster of the tournament, shows the veteran getting chopped down while going for a 50-50 ball with a Say Word FC player.

The former Barcelona man came off worse from the challenge and attempted to confront his opponent, with the referee forced to come between the two players.

Aguero is then seen pointing to his shin to suggest his opponent was out to injure him.

How Aguero's TST team fared in the game

Unfortunately for Team Aguero, their opponents were simply too strong and emerged with a 6-3 victory in their opening game.

The Argentine maestro retired from football in 2021, ending an 18-year professional career, most of which was spent at Man City.

He is the club's all-time leading goal-scorer with 260 goals in 390 appearances and has played in three World Cups in his career.
