Former Kaizer Chiefs forward, Siphelele Mthembu, has disclosed the phone conversation he once had with Pitso Mosimane before he joined the Soweto Giants a few years ago.
Mosimane was then Sundowns coach while Mthembu was at Platinum Stars seeking a summer move in 2014.
The former South African international was a transfer target for the Brazilians, and he was convinced to join the club by Mosimane, but he ended up moving to the Naturena.
In an interview with FARPost, as per the South African, Mthembu explains how Mosimane tried to convince him to join Mamelodi through a 'phone call'.

"So, before I went there [at Chiefs], I was called by Pitso [Mosimane] at Sundowns; he explained how I play and what type of a person I am; he did his research," he said.
"He was interested in me. It was a World Cup in Brazil in 2014, and he used to call me then and tell me how he would make me great.
"And he said, with the team I have, you won't bother going up and down. You just sit in the box and finish."
The former Orlando Pirates player didn't later have a good spell with Kaizer Chiefs but made a name for himself at Platinum Stars and Cape Town City.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Mosimane’s agent was reportedly spotted at Chiefs’ Naturena Village amid links with the vacant coaching role at the club.
The news came after many called for the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss to return home to South Africa.
