The West Londoners are set to return to Europe next season following their encouraging sixth-place finish in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the Argentine has since been shown the door after just one season in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have instead since brought in Enzo Maresca to succeed Pochettino, with the Italian swapping Leicester City for the Premier League giants.

It is understood that Blues owner, Todd Boehly, is keen to back Maresca in the transfer market ahead of the summer window.

Chelsea eye move for Sesko and Olise

According to Metro UK, the 2021 Champions League winners are already plotting a move for two players linked with rivals Arsenal and Man United.

The publication claims that Chelsea have already made contact with RB Leipzig ace, Benjamin Sesko, and Crystal Palace star, Michael Olise.

Arsenal have previously been linked with the Slovenian and were initially thought to be in the driving seat in the race to sign the forward.

However, they may now have to contend with competition from Chelsea, who are also said to have registered interest in signing Sesko.

Per Foot Mercato, the Stamford Bridge dwellers have already contacted the striker's representatives to make a proposal.

Meanwhile, this is said to be the same scenario with Olise, who had initially been linked with a switch to Old Trafford.

The Palace ace courted attention this season following his impressive performances for the Eagles, where he scored 10 goals and registered six assists in 19 Premier League games.

Chelsea make decision on Romelu Lukaku

Sports Brief previously reported on Chelsea making a decision on Romelu Lukaku and his future ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Belgian striker has endured a frustrating lack of stability since his sensational return to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021.
