Former France international, Bacary Sagna, has compared Real Madrid's new attacking lineup with Barcelona's famous trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar Junior.

Sagna made the comparison after Kylian Mbappe's free transfer to Los Blancos after years of pursuit by the Spanish capital club.

On Monday, June 3, 48 hours after Madrid had secured an unparalleled 15th UEFA Champions League crown, the club announced the acquisition of the French captain on a five-year contract, per CBS Sports.

Mbappe, currently with the French national team in preparation for this summer's European Championship, is expected to link up with his new teammates after the month-long competition.

In fact, he could win his maiden silverware with the club as soon as August 14, when the White Angels cross swords with Europa League winners, Atalanta, in the UEFA Super Cup.

However, a major concern for football enthusiasts and pundits has been how Madrid would line up after the purchase of Mbappe, considering they won La Liga and the Champions League with the 25-year-old.

Many believe that Mbappe's ego and ambition could disturb the team's harmony. But Sagna thinks otherwise.

Madrid's new attack with Mbappe compared to MSN

The ex-Arsenal and Manchester City defender reckons that despite the genuine concerns, Mbappe could form a lethal partnership and well-knit friendship with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo de Goes, reminiscent of Barcelona's famous 'MSN' trio.

“Mbappe’s starting position will be as a number nine, but those three players will interchange at will, he told CoinPoker, as quoted by GOAL.
"I think these three players will have the same impact and play in the same style as Barcelona’s legendary combination of Messi, Suarez and Neymar.
"They will have the same vibe: great players, great friends having fun on the football pitch and scoring lots and lots of goals.”

Mbappe opens up on PSG exile

In his inaugural public address since joining Real Madrid, Mbappe disclosed that PSG had directly notified him of his omission from the team, as reported by Sports Brief.

The gravity of the situation became apparent when PSG not only excluded the French captain from their pre-season roster but also denied him access to the club's training facilities.
