Another instalment of what is fast becoming a crunch fixture is on the horizon as the Super Eagles of Nigeria play host to South Africa's Bafana Bafana in the upcoming FIFA qualification series.

The fixture, which will be Nigeria's coach Finidi George's official debut as manager, has continued to generate significant discussions across the country's footballing scenes.

However, amid the flurry of conversations leading up to the clash, team coordinator of the Super Eagles, Patrick Pascal, has offered advice to coach Finidi ahead of the crucial match against Bafana Bafana

Patrick Pascal offers advice to Finidi

In a chat with Sports Brief, the 49-year-old stressed the importance of the new manager focusing on his job and the immediate task at hand, as against the flurry of talks and information that continues to herald the scenes in the lead-up to the fixture.

"Nigerian fans sometimes expect the Super Eagles to be like the U17 team, where players can be in camp for over two months.
Finidi has been with the team for 22 months, and there is still pressure for him to bring in new players despite limited time before the matches. My advice for Finidi would be to concentrate on his job, focus on his current squad, and do his best. I believe he has the capability to succeed."

The Nigerian team will host South Africa on June 7, before travelling to Ivory Coast to face Benin Republic in what would be coach Finidi's second fixture as the permanent head coach of the Super Eagles.

Super Eagles to debut new kit

Sports Brief in another report stated the Nigerian team is set to debut a new kit during the crunch clash against South Africa.

The West African nation showcased its latest home and away kits on social media, which will be used during the FIFA qualification fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic.
