"Welcome to the best club in the world," the former Manchester City star said, tagging his new teammate's handle.
Mbappe, meanwhile, shared his excitement at joining Los Blancos and posted his reaction on his official handle on X.
The post was translated as follows:
"A dream come true, So happy and proud to join the club of my dream [Real Madrid]. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. I can't wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. ¡Hala Madrid!"
Diaz will be hoping to replicate his performance for Real Madrid this season in the next campaign, when he would be playing alongside Mbappe.
