Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic is unsure whether Jadon Sancho will continue with the German club beyond his current loan spell.

Sancho was made to train with the youth team for four months at Manchester United in 2023 after a dramatic fallout with his manager, Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag publicly criticised the winger after a game against Arsenal last year, saying he dropped the 23-year-old because of his poor performances in training. Sancho hit back by subtly claiming his manager was lying in a social media post.

After Sancho’s refusal to apologise, he was shipped out to his former club on loan, where he has experienced an impressive revival since January 2024.

Terzic on Sancho’s future

After Dortmund's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, Terzic addressed Sancho’s future, admitting he was yet to know how the club would handle the £73 million man’s situation.

“I didn’t speak about the future because we’ve been speaking about the present. I am really happy that he is with us. Playing in a final in his hometown, it’s a very special moment for him,” he said, per The Independent.
“You can feel the joy he receives and brings in the dressing room. I am very happy to work with Jadon. We don’t know yet what the future will bring. But for sure, it’s going to bring him another Champions League final.”

Manchester United would be willing to sell Sancho, especially if ten Hag is still in charge of the team next season.

Based on the Dortmund boss’s sentiments, the German club is willing to keep Sancho on loan, but his huge wages could pose a problem.

Manchester Evening News speculates that Sancho is open to returning to United, provided ten Hag is not the manager at Old Trafford.

Terzic consoled by Jose Mourinho

Sports Brief also reported on Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic and Jose Mourinho's lovely moment.

Mourinho took some time off punditry duties on Saturday to console the distraught German after the Champions League final.

In a video making rounds on social media, the new Fenerbahce boss embraces Terzic before offering the Dortmund boss some words of wisdom.
