4. Otto Addo - Ghana

The new Ghana coach made 98 appearances for the German giants between 1999 and 2005 and later became a youth coach at the club. Ther Ghaian won the Bundesliga with BVB in 2002.

He registered 16 goals and 16 assists during his time at the club.

3. Sunday Oliseh - Nigeria

Oliseh played for Dortmund between 2000 and 2003. he was part of the team that won the 2002 Bundesliga. The Nigerian made 72 appearances for the club.

When he arrived at the club, he was an AFCON, champion and an Olympic gold medalist. Oliseh would play a few more years before retiring. He is infamously remembered for headbutting his Bochum teammate, Vahid Hashemian, in 2004. Dortmund sacked him because of the incident.

The 34-year-old had his best moments at Dortmund. The former Arsenal striker played for the club between 2013 and 2018 and scored goals for fun. When he departed in 2018, he had scored 141 goals for the club, including 98 in the Bundesliga, a record by an African player in the league.

Dortmund didn't win the Bundesliga during his time there, but the striker won the 2016/17 Golden Boot award after beating Robert Lewandowski.
